Dear Dave Paulshock,
This letter is to acknowledge Four Seasons Produce is using, with
great success, Algonquin Products Redi Room Wipe Out
CLO2 30 minute release bags. Four Seasons has been using the product
for six month in the banana ripening rooms to control mold spores
due to higher humidity atmosphere during the ripening process,
using the product has been very successful.
The product is received in a two compartment plastic jar containing
the chemical powders and its own atmosphere bag which makes
the exacted chlorine dioxide mix every time in a safe manner.
Microbial testing has shown that five log reduction can be obtained.
Because of reduction in the microorganisms, product shelf life
should increase, odor control in our refrigerated trailer fleet
will also be a positive use. ClO2 is approved as a sanitizer so
it can be used as a spray or in a safe gas form. CLO2 is equipment
friendly, there is no taste residue when sprayed on finished product.
We are excited to date with the results we have seen, and will
continue to seek additional uses in the future.
